一、教學(xué)目標：
知識目標：學(xué)生能聽(tīng)懂并會(huì )運用句型How long is -----?-----
能力目標：在活動(dòng)中培養學(xué)生積極參與的精神和與他人團結協(xié)作的精神。
情感目標：培養學(xué)生學(xué)英語(yǔ)的態(tài)度，并通過(guò)活動(dòng)調動(dòng)學(xué)生學(xué)習英語(yǔ)的積極性
通過(guò)學(xué)習語(yǔ)言，培養珍視友誼、關(guān)愛(ài)他人的情感。
二、教學(xué)重、難點(diǎn)：學(xué)生能聽(tīng)懂并會(huì )運用句型How long is -----?-----
三教具準備：鐘表，紅色的龍，錄音機
四、教學(xué)過(guò)程：
一、Class Opening
1.Greeting.
(T: Hello !Ss. S: Hello! T.
T: How’s the weather today?
S: It’s sunny.
2．Review
用“How many?”提問(wèn)下列單詞：minutes,hours,days,weeks,months,years。
�。�1）向學(xué)生展示一只大鐘表并且提示學(xué)生 a minutes與an hour的概念
�。�2）引導學(xué)生進(jìn)行對話(huà)
T: How many minutes in an hour?
S: Sixty.
T: (在minutes 與hours之間話(huà)一個(gè)箭頭，旁邊寫(xiě)上數字60) How many hours in a day?(以此類(lèi)推)
二、New Concepts
1.Introduce
1.(Show a big clock)
T: When does the English class begin ?
S: At 10:10.
2.Practice
T: How long is English class? (做出數時(shí)針的動(dòng)作)。
S: Forty minutes.
2.(出示許多地點(diǎn)名稱(chēng)，并在兩地之間標出距離和行程的長(cháng)短)
Ask Ss to make a drill,
3.Free Talk
such as :
How far is it from Canada to Bei jing .?
It’s ------kilometers.
How long is it?
------minutes hours.
Ask for volunteers to present.
(播放書(shū)中第二部分歌曲，告訴學(xué)生李明將要離開(kāi)加拿大，并讓他們討論下面的問(wèn)題)
When they are at the airport what will they talk about ?
4.Use the Ss Book and Audiotape
Play the audiotape as the student follow it and find out “What’re the surprises for Li Ming and Jenny” ?
5.Role-Play
讓學(xué)生分角色朗誦課文。
6。Sing the Song
Ask Ss to sing this song after the tape.
7.Homework
Ask Ss to write a postcard for Li Ming or Jenny .
