一.otherwise用作副詞，表示用別的方法，不同地；

　　二.otherwise用作連詞，表示否則，要不然；

　　You'd better go now, otherwise you'll miss the train.

　　你最好現在就走,要不然就趕不上火車(chē)了。

　　You should be more careful, otherwise you might meet with some accident.

　　你應該更加小心,要不然你會(huì )出事的。

　　三.otherwise用作形容詞，表示不同的；

　　The truth is quite otherwise.

　　實(shí)情大有出入。

　　四.otherwise than 除…之外

　　unless otherwise stated 除非另作說(shuō)明...

　　but otherwise 但在別的方面卻...
