　　I used to think Beijing must be a grand and special city, given that it was the capital of China, and lots of events I have heard took place there. But soon after I got off the plane, I knew all was but my illusion. If I had to use one wordto describe it, nothing but “grey” will fulfil the task. As far as your eyes could see, all was covered in dust and haunted by air pollution.

　　Though it was the first time I had been to the North part of China, I was still surprised by the sharp contrast between the South and North. It wasn't hearsay.

　　我曾經(jīng)認為北京必須大,特殊的城市,因為它是中國的首都,我聽(tīng)過(guò)很多事件發(fā)生。但很快我下了飛機后,我知道一切,但我的錯覺(jué)。如果要我用一個(gè)詞來(lái)描述它,除了“灰色”將完成任務(wù)。你的眼睛可以看到,一切都覆蓋著(zhù)灰塵和被空氣污染。
