　　Nowadays many people like to have dogs as their pets. Dogs are friends of man not only because they are lovely but also because they are faithful to their masters.

　　Dogs can do a lot of work for man. They play with us. They hunt with us. They keep door for us. But long ago, dogs all over the world were wild.

　　Dogs can date back to the Stone Age. All dogs have the same ancestor. It is believed that their ancestor was much like a wolf. Other animals, such as the fox, came from this ancestor, too. Hundreds of thousands of years ago, man began to tame wild dogs. After the dogs were tamed, they were trained. The strong dogs became working animals. They were trained to pull heavy loads. They learned to keep an eye on the sheep and other animals. Working dogs had other jobs, too.

　　Some dogs were not strong. But they could help man hunt for game. Other dogs were best as pets.

　　Today, there are more than 100 kinds of dogs in the world.

　　現在許多人都把狗作為他們的寵物。狗是人類(lèi)的朋友，不僅因為它們可愛(ài)，而且因為它們對主人忠誠。

　　狗能為人類(lèi)做很多工作。他們和我們一起玩。他們追捕我們。他們把我們的門(mén)。但很久以前，世界上的狗都是野生的。

　　狗可以追溯到石器時(shí)代。所有的狗有相同的祖先。據說(shuō)他們的祖先很像狼。其他動(dòng)物，如狐貍，來(lái)自祖先，太。幾十萬(wàn)年前，人類(lèi)就開(kāi)始馴服野狗。狗被馴服后，他們被訓練。強壯的狗成為人類(lèi)工作的。人們訓練它們拉重的貨物。他們學(xué)會(huì )了照看羊和其他動(dòng)物。工作犬有其他的工作，也。

　　I like dogs, because they are man’s good friends. They can do many helpful things to us, such as guarding our houses, greeting guests, helping the police, and so on. Some trained dogs can even lead the blind people and save people’s lives. So they‘re treated as our family members. I hope someday dogs will be in great harmony with human-beings.

I think cat is a kind of cute animal and keeping one is good for me. The cat is clean . Cat likes drinking milk and eating fish. fish is good for health. Sometime cat is naughty, but don't worry, I love it. How nice my friend is !I love it more and more.

　　Keeping Pets Is Not an Easy Project 養寵物是項大工程

　　Have you ever kept pets? Have you ever suffered a lot when your pets brought much trouble? Have you ever wanted to abandon them after suffered a lot from them?In my opinion, keeping pets is not an easy project.

　　你曾經(jīng)養過(guò)寵物嗎？你曾經(jīng)因為你的寵物帶來(lái)很多的麻煩而痛苦過(guò)嗎？在經(jīng)歷很多之后你曾經(jīng)想放棄他們嗎？在我看來(lái)，養寵物是一件不容易的事。

　　For one thing, a lot of energy and time will be consumed if you decide to keep pets.To take care of pets is mostly similar to taking care of men. What you need todo every day is simple but patience-needed, feeding them regularly, cleaning them now and then and preventing them breaking other objects. These trifle matters are so time-consumed, let alone they get disease or bring disaster.

　　一方面，如果你決定養寵物會(huì )消耗大量的精力和時(shí)間。照顧寵物跟照顧人是很類(lèi)似的。你每天需要做的都是簡(jiǎn)單而需要耐心的是，定期喂養，時(shí)不時(shí)的給他們清洗，防止他們破壞其他東西。這些瑣事太消耗時(shí)間了，不理他們他們就會(huì )生病或帶來(lái)災難。

　　For another, a lot of money is needed to take good care of your pets. For example,you are demanded to take them to be vaccinated regularly in case they get disease and virus. In addition, to look after them well, you need to choose suitable food for them and buy some necessary appliance for them. In the long term, these will not be a small cost.

　　另一方面，照顧寵物需要很多錢(qián)。例如，為了防止他們染病或者病毒，你要定期帶他們去接種疫苗。此外，照顧好他們，你需要為他們選擇合適的食物，他們買(mǎi)一些必要的設備。從長(cháng)遠看來(lái)，那不會(huì )是一筆低花費。

　　Inshort, keeping pets needs a lot of energy, time and money. Therefore, think again before you decide to keep them.

　　Dogs belong to the canine.

　　When a dog follows its nose, it's actually being led by thee key senses. Sight:a glimpse of the enemy saves them barking up the wrong tree. Sound: a bark can be a fierce threat, but it's also how canines make their long distance calls. Smell: this tells a dog more than all the other senses put together.

　　Inside its nose are around two hundred million smell sensitive cells, forty times more than in humans. Through them the dog's brain can pick up signals from one molecule of scent in a million. It gives the dog: a completely different picture of the world, based on what it smells, rather than what it sees.

　　Flowers are irrelevant to a dog. So their scent is meaningless. But food is a serious matter. What to us is an empty plate, is covered with the smell of chicken to a hungry dog.

　　花對狗來(lái)講無(wú)足輕重，所以花香對狗無(wú)關(guān)緊要�？墒澄锸羌�大事，對我們來(lái)說(shuō)是一個(gè)空盤(pán)子，可對一只饑腸轆轆的狗來(lái)說(shuō)卻散發(fā)著(zhù)雞肉的香味。
