與眾不同的.螃蟹
A male crab1 met a female crab and asked her to marry him.
She noticed that he was walking straight instead of sideways. Wow, she thought, this crab is really special. I can’t let him get away. So they got married immediately.
The next day she noticed her new husband walking sideways like all the other crabs2, and got upset. "What happened?" she asked. "You used to walk straight before we were married."
"Oh, honey," he replied, "I can't drink that much every day."
一只雄蟹遇到了一只雌蟹，便向她求婚。
雌蟹發(fā)現他是直著(zhù)走路，而不是橫著(zhù)走。她心想，這只雄蟹真是與眾不同，我可不能讓他跑了。于是他們很快就結婚了。
第二天，雌蟹發(fā)現她的新郎走起路來(lái)和普通螃蟹一樣。她便疑惑重重。“你怎么了?”她問(wèn)，“我們結婚之前你可是直著(zhù)走路的。”
“哦，寶貝，”他回答說(shuō)，“我不可能每天都喝那么多啊。”
騙獵遭黑
The deer feared the leopard1 cat, the leopard cat feared the tiger, and the tiger the brown bear.
The brown bear resembled the fox but was bigger in size. It had long fur on its head, and could stand up like man. It had great strength and would devour2 man.
In the south of the State of Chu, there was a hunter good at ventriloquy. With a bamboo pipe he could imitate the cries of various kinds of wild animals.
Once, carrying his bow, arrows and firearms, he quietly went hunting in the mountain.
Up on the mountain, he first imitated the cries of the deer to lure3 the horde4 of deer to come over, so that he could shoot at them with the firearms. The leopard cat heard the cries of the deer and came running to devour the deer. The hunter was afraid of the leopard cat, so he hurriedly imitated the roar of the tiger to scare away the leopard cat. Hardly had the leopard cat been scared away when the tiger heard the roar and came. At this moment, the hunter was even more frightened, so he imitated the cries of the brown bear. As a result, the tiger was scared away like the leopard cat.
Then, when the brown bear heard the cries, it came to look for its companions. Seeing that it was a man, the brown bear at once struck him with its front paws, and tore him up with its teeth. In a short while, the hunter was torn to pieces and devoured5 by the brown bear.

黑像狐貍，但是體形比較大。它頭上披著(zhù)長(cháng)毛，能夠像人一樣站立起來(lái)，力氣很大，要吃人。
楚國南方有一個(gè)獵人口技很好。他會(huì )用竹管來(lái)模仿各種野獸的叫聲。
有一次，他拿著(zhù)弓箭和火器悄悄上山打獵。
上山以后，他先學(xué)鹿的叫聲，想引誘鹿群過(guò)來(lái)，再用火器射獵。驅一聽(tīng)是鹿叫，就快步跑來(lái)想吃鹿。獵人害怕，急忙又學(xué)虎嘯來(lái)嚇走它。驅剛剛被虎嘯嚇跑，可是老虎卻聞聲趕到了。這時(shí)候，獵人更加害怕，于是就學(xué)黑叫。結果，老虎也像驅一樣逃跑了。
后來(lái)，黑聽(tīng)見(jiàn)叫聲，就來(lái)尋找同伴。剛走到前面，它一看是一個(gè)人，就立刻用前爪打他，用牙齒撕他，不一會(huì )兒，把獵人撕成碎塊吃掉了。
小馬過(guò)河
One day, a colt(小馬，生手) carried a bag of wheat to the mill.
As he was running with the bag on his back, he came to a small river. Water went gurgling(作汩汩聲) on. The colt could not decide whether he could cross it. Looking around, he saw a cow grazing1 nearby. He asked, "Uncle Cow, could you tell me if I can cross the river?" The cow told him that he could and that the river was not very deep, just to his knees.
The colt was crossing the river when a squirrel2 jumped down a tree and stopped him. The squirrel shouted, "Colt, stop! You'll be drowned! One of my friends was drowned yesterday just in the river." Not knowing what to do, the colt went home to consult his mom.
He told his mom his experience on the way. His mother said, "My child, don't always listen to others. You'd better go and try yourself. Then you'll know what to do."
Just at the river, the squirrel stopped the colt again. "Little horse, it's too dangerous!" "No, I want to have a try by myself", answered the colt. Then he crossed the river carefully. On the other side of the river, the colt realized that the river was neither as shallow as the cow said nor as as deep as the squirrel told him.
