　　example可以用作名詞：

　　example的基本意思是“例子,實(shí)例”。引申可指“樣品,范例”“榜樣,楷�！�,有時(shí)還可指“警告”“先例”等。

　　set sb an example〔set an example to sb〕 的意思是“給某人樹(shù)立榜樣”; make an example of sb (for sth)的意思是“(因…)懲罰某人以儆效尤”。
