because與because of

　　1.because是連詞，后面接從句，作原因狀語(yǔ)從句，通常不與so連用。例如：

　　(1)I do it because I like it.我做這件事是因為我喜歡。

　　(2)We didn’t enjoy the day because the weather was so awful.因為天氣太糟糕了，我們玩得不愉快。

　　(3)He didn’t attend the meeting because he had too much work to do.他因為要干的活兒太多，沒(méi)來(lái)參加會(huì )議。

　　2.而because of是介詞短語(yǔ)，在句中一般用作狀語(yǔ)，可置于句首和句末，后面接名詞、代詞及名詞性短語(yǔ)。常用來(lái)表示引起事件發(fā)生的直接原因。例如：

　　(1)I had to move because of my job.因為工作的原因我得搬家。

　　(2)Because of illness, the boy did not go to school.因為生病，這個(gè)男孩沒(méi)有去上學(xué)。

　　(3)They had to stay at home because of a heavy rain.因為一場(chǎng)大雨，他們只好呆在家里。

　　(4)The boy was late for school because of the heavy traffic.由于堵車(chē)，這個(gè)孩子上學(xué)遲到了。

　　3.because of 和because的意思都是“因為”，區別在前者跟短語(yǔ)，后者跟從句。例如：

　　(1)They didn’t go to the museum because of therain.他們因為下雨沒(méi)去博物館。

　　(2)They didn’t go to the museum because itrained.他們因為下雨沒(méi)去博物館。
