different的用法：

　　1、表示“與……不同”，其后一般接介詞 from, 有時(shí)也用 to（英）或 than（美），但均不及用 from 普遍。如：

　　City life is very different from [to, than] country life. 城市生活與農村生活很不相同。

　　Their tastes are different from [to, than] mine. 他們的愛(ài)好與我的不同。

　　順便說(shuō)一句，副詞 differently 的情形也是一樣。如：

　　He thinks differently from [to, than] you. 他的想法與你的不同。

　　2、副詞 much 通常不修飾形容詞原級，但 different 是個(gè)例外，它可受 much 的修飾。如：

　　He is much different from you. 他與你大不相同。

　　其他修飾 different 的常見(jiàn)副詞如下例：

　　He is very different from me. 他與我很不相同。

　　This is quite different from that. 這個(gè)與那個(gè)很不相同。

　　Those two boys are completely different. 那兩個(gè)男孩完全不一樣。

　　為了加強否定的語(yǔ)氣，可用 no 代替 not。比較：

　　This is not different from that. 這個(gè)與那個(gè)沒(méi)有差別。

　　This is no different from that. 這個(gè)與那個(gè)完全一樣。

　　注：no different from=the same as。

　　3、different（不同的）的反義詞是 same（相同的），而不能想當然地認為是 indifferent（不關(guān)心的，冷淡的）。比較：

　　He’s indifferent to this problem. 他對這個(gè)問(wèn)題不感興趣。

　　He is indifferent to suffering and poverty. 他不在乎苦與窮。
