Dear teachers and fellow students,
Good morning! It’s my great honor to give the speech here.
The Week of Psychological Education has just gone. We joyfully see the English festival begin. Its purpose is to enliven the campus atmosphere, to
enrich students’ spare time life, to arouse students’ interests, and to improve
students’ oral English, overall quality.
Now I declare 2009 English Festival is now open.
Nowadays we are living in an open society with globalized economy and cultures. China opens to the world and the world welcomes China. Thus a
harmonious globe will come into being. Love and enjoy this world, create
harmonious classes, schools and communities. So just like “Better City ,
Better Life”for Shanghai Expo, “Better English , Better Life”,is the theme
for our English festival.
The English Festival begins on Dec 21st. And it will last 7 days. During the period, we will hold many meaningful activities, such as English singing contest, English speech contest, English Conversation contest and so on. In
this week I hope every student will take an active part in the activities and
contests mentioned above, display your own talents, and meanwhile, learn
something from others.
Finally, I wish you will enjoy yourselves during the festival. I also
congratulate beforehand our English festival on complete success.

親愛(ài)的老師們，同學(xué)們，大家早上好。非常榮幸能在這里為大家演講。
心理活動(dòng)周剛剛過(guò)去。我們又將高興地迎來(lái)英語(yǔ)節的開(kāi)幕。本次英語(yǔ)節的'目的是為了活躍校園氣氛，豐富同學(xué)的課余生活，激發(fā)大家的學(xué)習興趣，提高同學(xué)們的英語(yǔ)口語(yǔ)能力和綜合能力。
現在我宣布，20××年英語(yǔ)節開(kāi)幕。
當前，我們生活在一個(gè)全球化經(jīng)濟和文化背景下的開(kāi)放型社會(huì )。中國向世界打開(kāi)了大門(mén)，世界也張開(kāi)雙臂歡迎中國。一個(gè)和諧的世界正在形成。讓我們用心熱愛(ài)世界，創(chuàng )建和諧的班級、校園和社區。就像上海世博會(huì )的口號“城市讓生活更美好”那樣，我們英語(yǔ)節的主題是“英語(yǔ)讓生活更美好”。
本次英語(yǔ)節從12月21日開(kāi)幕，將持續一周時(shí)間。在此期間，我們將舉辦許多有意義的活動(dòng)，比如英語(yǔ)歌唱、英語(yǔ)演講，英語(yǔ)會(huì )話(huà)等等比賽。我希望每一個(gè)同學(xué)在這個(gè)星期里都能積極參與上述各項活動(dòng)和競賽，展現個(gè)人才華，同時(shí)，也向他人學(xué)習。
最后，祝愿同學(xué)們在英語(yǔ)節中快樂(lè )開(kāi)心。我也預祝英語(yǔ)節取得圓滿(mǎn)成功。
