◆ Tom can play the guitar but he can’t play it very well.
well 副詞，意思是“很好地；較好地”，修飾動(dòng)詞，在句中常常作狀語(yǔ)。其形容詞形式是good。
例如：他唱歌唱得很好。He sings well.
翻譯句子：你的作業(yè)做得相當好。
◆speak, say, tell 和 talk的用法：
1. speak側重開(kāi)口說(shuō)話(huà)，不側重說(shuō)話(huà)的內容，一般用作不及物動(dòng)詞；當用作“說(shuō)某種語(yǔ)言”時(shí)，要用speak+語(yǔ)言。
If you can’t speak English, please don’t speak. 如果你不會(huì )說(shuō)英語(yǔ)，就不要說(shuō)話(huà)。
2. say強調說(shuō)話(huà)的內容，多用作及物動(dòng)詞，后面跟說(shuō)話(huà)的內容。
---What does he say? 他說(shuō)什么？
---He says he wants to join the music club. 他說(shuō)他要加入音樂(lè )俱樂(lè )部。
3. tell意思是“告訴（某人某事）；講述…”。
tell a story of Cheng’e 講嫦娥的故事 tell a lie 說(shuō)謊
當表示“告訴某人某事”時(shí)，tell后面須跟雙賓語(yǔ)。
Don’t tell him this thing. 不要告訴他這件事。
4. talk側重“談話(huà)；交談”，主語(yǔ)一般是兩個(gè)人以上。常用短語(yǔ)：talk about…談?wù)撽P(guān)于…的事，talk with sb. 和某人交談。
