General Introduction
I am a third year master major in automation at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, P. R. China. With tremendous interest in Industrial Engineering, I am writing to apply for acceptance into your Ph.D. graduate program.
Education background
In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology (NUST) -- widely considered one of the China’s best engineering schools. During the following undergraduate study, my academic records kept distinguished among the whole department. I was granted First Class Prize every semester,In 1999, I got the privilege to enter the graduate program waived of the admission test.
At the period of my graduate study, my overall GPA(3.77/4.0) ranked top 5% in the department. In the second semester, I became teacher assistant that is given to talented and matured students only. This year, I won the Acer Scholarship as the one and only candidate in my department, which is the ultimate accolade for distinguished students endowed by my university. Presently, I am preparing my graduation thesis and trying for the honor of Excellent Graduation Thesis.
Research experience and academic activity
When a sophomore, I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began to narrow down my interest for my future research. With the tool of OpenGL and Matlab, I designed a simulation program for transportation schedling system. It is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. I assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis & dispose project for Nanjing sewage treatment plant. This was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.
In retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and experience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. My future research interests include: Network Schedling Problem, Heuristic Algorithm research (especially in GA and Neural network), Supply chain network research, Hybrid system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.

在我研究生學(xué)習期間,我的總平均成績(jì)排名(3.77/4.0)前5%。在第二學(xué)期,我成為老師的助理,只給有才華的和成熟的學(xué)生。今年,我贏(yíng)得了宏碁獎學(xué)金作為唯一候選人在我的部門(mén),這是著(zhù)名的終極榮譽(yù)學(xué)生賦予我的大學(xué)。目前,我正在準備我的畢業(yè)論文和優(yōu)秀畢業(yè)論文的`榮譽(yù)。
研究經(jīng)驗和學(xué)術(shù)活動(dòng)
二年級時(shí),我加入了AI愛(ài)好者協(xié)會(huì ),開(kāi)始為我的未來(lái)研究縮小我的興趣。OpenGL的工具M(jìn)atlab,我設計了一個(gè)模擬程序運輸調度系統。由不同的研究小組現在廣泛使用的雄厚。我認為,實(shí)現污水分析&為南京污水處理廠(chǎng)處理項目。這是我第一次實(shí)踐實(shí)驗室的想法轉換為一個(gè)商業(yè)產(chǎn)品。
回想起來(lái),我發(fā)現自己站在一個(gè)堅實(shí)的基礎的理論和經(jīng)驗,準備了我的博士學(xué)位項目。我未來(lái)的研究興趣包括:網(wǎng)絡(luò )調度問(wèn)題,啟發(fā)式算法研究(特別是遺傳算法和神經(jīng)網(wǎng)絡(luò )),供應鏈網(wǎng)絡(luò )研究,混合動(dòng)力系統性能分析與佩特里網(wǎng)和數據挖掘。
