第一次讀《小王子》，是在高中的時(shí)候，一下子就被他那清新的文筆和單純的世界所吸引。六年后的現在，再讀《小王子》，不禁一次次地流淚，為小王子那懾人心魂的憂(yōu)傷而心悸，為他純潔而執著(zhù)的愛(ài)所感動(dòng)，也為自己那逐漸泯滅的童心而哀悼。正象作者圣-�？诵跖謇谛蜓岳锩嬲f(shuō)的，他把這個(gè)童話(huà)“獻給雷昂?維爾特，當他還是一個(gè)小男孩的時(shí)候”
這是一個(gè)屬于成人的童話(huà)，屬于曾經(jīng)有過(guò)童心的成年人的童話(huà)，孩子們是無(wú)法體會(huì )小王子徹骨的憂(yōu)傷和愛(ài)的沉重的。他們也不應該過(guò)早地體會(huì )這些，他們應該在陽(yáng)光明媚的世界里享受著(zhù)快樂(lè )的時(shí)光。這與其說(shuō)是一個(gè)童話(huà)，不如說(shuō)是一個(gè)悲劇。童話(huà)里的主人公總是像白雪公主或灰姑娘一樣，幸福美滿(mǎn)地生活。而憂(yōu)傷的小王子卻在發(fā)見(jiàn)愛(ài)的真諦后死在沙漠里。
小說(shuō)的情節很簡(jiǎn)單，主要是從“我”的角度講述小王子的游歷過(guò)程。因為一朵美麗而嬌氣的玫瑰，小王子離開(kāi)了一直平靜地生活著(zhù)的B-612小游星，他先后游歷了六個(gè)星球，在這些星球上，他遇到一些他覺(jué)得很不可理逾的大人，狂妄自大的國王，財迷心竅的商人、迂腐的點(diǎn)燈人……于是他不斷的感慨，“大人的世界確實(shí)奇怪�！痹谶@里作者以小王子的孩子式的眼光，透視出這些大人們的空虛、盲目和愚妄，也道出了成人的孤獨寂寞、無(wú)可適從的處境。
最后他來(lái)到了地球。在這里他遇到了一只狐貍，這只狐貍給他解決了那朵嬌氣的小玫瑰給他帶來(lái)的對愛(ài)的疑惑，使他明白，愛(ài)意味著(zhù)責任，意味著(zhù)慈悲，有了愛(ài)(廣義的愛(ài))生活里的一切才有了意義。狐貍告訴他：“對于你使之馴順的東西，你永遠有責任。你要對你的玫瑰盡責�！薄叭绻闶刮荫Z順了，我的生活就會(huì )充滿(mǎn)陽(yáng)光，歡快起來(lái)。我將會(huì )聽(tīng)出一種與眾不同的腳步聲�！�.你有著(zhù)一頭金發(fā)，于是，一旦你使我馴順了，這將變得妙不可言!金色的小麥將使我回想起你來(lái)。于是我就會(huì )愛(ài)上穿行麥浪的風(fēng)聲……”愛(ài)使人懂得了憂(yōu)傷和痛苦，同時(shí)使人擺脫了孤獨寂寞，使生活變得有充滿(mǎn)情趣和意義。正象小王子對“我”說(shuō)的：“這就象花一樣。如果你愛(ài)上了一朵生長(cháng)在一顆星星上的花，那么夜間，你看著(zhù)天空就感到甜蜜愉快，所有的星星上都好象開(kāi)著(zhù)花�！庇谑亲髡呙靼�，這世界上，一只小綿羊吃掉一朵花兒，是沒(méi)什么大不了的事，但對于小王子來(lái)說(shuō)，“那就如同所有的星星頃刻間都熄滅�！�
最后，小王子在離開(kāi)他的星球一周年之際，讓毒蛇咬死了他，這樣他可以“擺脫軀體的重量”，回到他的B-612小游星，回到他的驕傲而脆弱的玫瑰身邊。小王子走了，就象買(mǎi)火柴的小姑娘飛向與奶奶在一起的沒(méi)有寒冷沒(méi)有饑餓的世界一樣，他奔向他永恒的愛(ài)。留給這世界的只是金色的麥田和一園子無(wú)關(guān)緊要的玫瑰花。還有我們在徒勞地哭泣。而我們就象渴望被馴順的狐貍一樣，對著(zhù)麥田思念著(zhù)小王子金色的頭發(fā)。因為小王子，我相信沙漠里確實(shí)藏著(zhù)水井，因為小王子他聽(tīng)到轆轤在風(fēng)中的聲音，并飲了那令荒漠變得美麗的甘泉。
