In my opinion, now that interpersonal relationship is important to students devclopmentj colleges should offer courses about comprehensive interpersonal relationships. For freshmen who are prone to 'homesickness', the companionship found there can make the transition away from home easier. Further, dorm life is a crash course in interpersonal skills because you need to learn how to get along with your roommates as well as people in your hallway.

In fact, if dorm life appears to you like freedom from parental control, you would soon realize that it is fun to be free, at least for a while.

Meanwhile, young students can learn advanced science and technology from foreign countries and spread cultures of different nations.
On the other hand, it has disadvantages. For example, because of the lack of living experience and poor capability to take care of themselves, they may feel lonely and homesick. In addition, high living expenses and tuition fees will become a heavy burden upon their parents.
So I think whether studying abroad or not should be decided according to oneself and one’s family. It is not right to follow others.
