First, we should often listen to the tapes, English songs and programs. Watching English movies is also helpful to us. Second, we should speak English in class as much as possible. Don't be afraid of making mistakes. The more you speak, the fewer mistakes you'll make. We'd better join the English club and practice with others. Third, we can read more English newspapers and magazines. It's good for us. At last, we should recite some good passages and keep diaries.
In a word, as long as we do more listening, speaking, reading and writing, we will learn English well.

A Diary
September 20th
Friday Rainy
At the beginning of the term, I made up my mind to learn English well in my plan. Then I carried out the plan full of determination. I stu-died as hard as I could,and so the days and weeks went by. Soon the time for the mid-term exam came. I went over my lessons in earnest,because Iexpected to get good marks. But to my surprise, I got a low mark of 73.I made quite a few grammar mistakes. Besides, I was unable to use some words or idioms correctly. I felt very sorry about it. I sat in the classroom in low spirits.
Knowing about it,my English teacher asked me to go to his of-fice and told me not to be so disappointed. He also told me to listen to the teacher attentively in class,to make notes while listening and to do more reading and writing,and that only in this way could I learn Eng-lish well.
What he said struck me greatly. I am determined to do as my tea-cher told me to. I'm sure I'll make some progress next time.

隨著(zhù)社會(huì )的發(fā)展，中國已經(jīng)踏上了國際化的道路。由于方方面面的原因，英語(yǔ)也成為了國際語(yǔ)言。因此，越來(lái)越多的中國人為了與世界接軌而學(xué)習英語(yǔ)。而中國政府也意識到這一點(diǎn)，所以他們要求中國人學(xué)習英語(yǔ)，尤其是學(xué)生。問(wèn)題是如何學(xué)好英語(yǔ)呢？
First of all, learning English well needs perseverance. Because learning English well is a long-term process. If we insist on leraning Eglish everyday, we will masterit one day. If we just study it for a short time and then give up, we will gain nothing in the end. Therefore, we should stick to learn English erveryday inorder to learn it well.
首先，學(xué)好英語(yǔ)需要毅力。因為把英語(yǔ)學(xué)好是一個(gè)長(cháng)期的過(guò)程。如果我們堅持每天學(xué)習英語(yǔ)，總有一天我們能夠掌握它。如果我們只是學(xué)了一小段時(shí)間就放棄了，到最后我們會(huì )是什么都沒(méi)有學(xué)到。因此，為了學(xué)好英語(yǔ)，我們應該每天學(xué)習它。
Secondly,learning English well needs us open our mouth. The aim to learn a language isto speak it. No one will admit you learn a langeuage well without speaking itout. Many Chinese students have learned is“dumb English”. That is a big problem.So, in order to learn English well, we should often talk with our friends,classmates and teachers in English.
第二，把英語(yǔ)學(xué)好我們應該開(kāi)口說(shuō)。學(xué)習一門(mén)語(yǔ)言的目的就是講那門(mén)語(yǔ)言。如果你不會(huì )說(shuō)，沒(méi)有人會(huì )承認你把那門(mén)語(yǔ)言學(xué)好了。很多中國的學(xué)生所學(xué)的就是“啞巴英語(yǔ)”。這是一個(gè)很大的問(wèn)題。因此，為了學(xué)好英語(yǔ)，我們應該經(jīng)常和我們的朋友，同學(xué)和老師用英語(yǔ)交流。
Thirdly,the best way to master a language is tobe personally on the scene. So I advice those people who have condition go abroad for a while. When they come back home, their oral English must have improved.
第三，掌握一門(mén)語(yǔ)言的最好的方法就是身臨其境。所以我建議有條件的人可以去國外待一段時(shí)間。當他們回國的時(shí)候，他們的口語(yǔ)肯定有所提高。
To sum up, learning English well is not easy. But we can take masures to make it done through perseverance, talking and going abroad.
