People can’t imagine life without water. Without it, the earth we live on would be a dead one. There would be no trees, no crops, no animals and no people. So water is considered to be next to oxygen in importance.
Although nearly three quarters of the earth's surf-ace is covered with water, it is sea water and undrinkable. The demand for water is increasing, while water resources are scarce. Agricultural production needs enormous amounts of water, so does industry. Besides, the rapid growth of population makes it more and more difficult for people to survive because of the water shortage. So water shortage has become one of the most serious problems.
Fortunately, people have realized this pressing problem and are trying to find ways to salve it. First, people are urged to economize on water. Second, measures are taken to protect water resources. Third, circulating water is used for industrial purposes over and over in factories and treated sewage water is used for irrigation in farming land.

Firstly, learning English in an Englishspeaking country will improve your English quickly. Just as we learn our firstlanguage, if we are immersed in an English environment, we have to practice Englisheach day. Consequently, we will get a quick improvement in English studybecause practice makes perfect.
首先，學(xué)習英文在說(shuō)英語(yǔ)的國家可以讓我們迅速提高英語(yǔ)水平。就想我們學(xué)習第一語(yǔ)言一樣，如果我們被包圍在一個(gè)全英語(yǔ)的環(huán)境下，我們就必須每天說(shuō)英語(yǔ)。這樣一來(lái)，我們的英語(yǔ)水平會(huì )快速提升因為熟能生巧。
Secondly, learning English in an Englishspeaking country can save us more time compared with study English in ourcountry. If you learn English in domestic, then you can get little time practiceyour English and you need to take a relatively long time to improve your English.However, if you are surrounded by English language each day, then you just needa short time to improve your English.
其次，學(xué)習英語(yǔ)在說(shuō)英語(yǔ)國家比在我們國家學(xué)習英語(yǔ)能節省更多時(shí)間。如果你在國內學(xué)英語(yǔ)，那么你能練習英語(yǔ)的時(shí)間很少，這樣一來(lái)，你就需要一個(gè)相對較長(cháng)的'時(shí)間來(lái)提高英語(yǔ)。但是，如果你被包圍在全英語(yǔ)的環(huán)境下，那么你只需要一個(gè)短短的時(shí)間就會(huì )提高英語(yǔ)水平。

Military training can cultivate students with strong will. Most students live with their parents before they come to school and with the parents’ protection, they don’t have much life experience. Military training is hard and during the training, students can stand the hard time, so they can get used to the life coming to them.
軍訓能夠培養學(xué)生們堅強的意志。大部分學(xué)生在來(lái)到學(xué)校前都是和父母住在一起，受到父母的保護，他們沒(méi)有太多的生活經(jīng)驗。軍訓是苦的，在這期間，學(xué)生能夠忍受艱難的時(shí)光，因此他們能適應即將到來(lái)的校園生活。
The military training can teach the students to obey the rules. It is known to all that soldiers’ duty is to obey the order, so students will have the sense of obeying the rules. When they come to study, they know what they should do and what they should refuse.
