When I began my senior high school years, I had difficulty in learning English. I dared not speak English aloud in public because of my poor pronunciation and intonation. I could not get high marks and my grammar was not right at all. Frustrated and afraid of being laughed at, I never put up my hand to answer questions in English class. When Miss Li found out my situation, she encouraged me and lent me a hand. She patiently taught me English grammar, helped me understand how to write a good sentence,and lent me many English books and magazines, which rapidly improved my English. With her help, I became interested in English and eventually got high marks.

8月19日是我參加英語(yǔ)脫口秀的日子。對這個(gè)日子我既期盼它早點(diǎn)到來(lái)，但又充滿(mǎn)了忐忑。于是許多奇怪的想法在我腦海里回蕩：“我表演的.時(shí)候會(huì )不會(huì )忘詞？會(huì )不會(huì )說(shuō)錯？我會(huì )不會(huì )遲到……”
吃完中飯，媽媽帶著(zhù)我去培訓班。下樓時(shí)我問(wèn)媽媽去“幾點(diǎn)啦？”媽媽說(shuō)：“1：10啊�！蔽以谛睦锵�，肯定會(huì )遲到，在車(chē)上我一直盯著(zhù)車(chē)上的時(shí)鐘，心里在默默地祈禱：開(kāi)快點(diǎn)，千萬(wàn)不要堵車(chē)。最后終于按時(shí)到了培訓班。
隨著(zhù)MissZou的一聲令下，我們走到了表演區。由我和兩個(gè)小男孩拉開(kāi)了本次脫口秀的序幕。開(kāi)始我很緊張，就像心里有只小白兔要蹦出來(lái)一樣。我看見(jiàn)媽媽坐在下面微笑的看著(zhù)我，還給我豎了一個(gè)大拇指，好像在說(shuō)：“可非，加油！不要緊張，你是最棒的！”
后來(lái)我一想，這本書(shū)我不是會(huì )背嗎？想到這里我就不緊張了。于是我壯著(zhù)膽子開(kāi)始了我的表演�！癎ood·afternoon。Nice·to·meet·you……”我們流利的對話(huà)，入情入境的表演，贏(yíng)得了臺下觀(guān)眾陣陣掌聲。掌聲給了我們最大的信心，我自信地表演了后面的兩個(gè)節目。

So choosing books is very important for reading. Many students spend a lot of time reading legends and swordsman novels.It's a waste of time. Some students even read some bad books and it is harmful for them. So be as careful of the books we read, as of the company we keep, for our habit and character will be as much influened by the former as by the latter.
Give up Smoking Nowadays, many school students smoke, and the number is growing increasingly, which makes school and parents worried.
According to a survey, more than two fifths of the students smoke in a school. They often get extra money from their parents to pay for cigarette, but their parents usually do not realize it. Even, some students steal money to buy cigarette, which is really a serious event. For middle school students, smoking do more harm to them than to adults, which is not only harmful to the body, but also detrimental to thinking. Furthermore, smoking is also harmful to others. Experts say that the second-hand smoke do more harm to others than the smoker.
In short, smoking is a bad habit which wastes of money as well as do harm to health.
